Online Continuing Education Courses Offered by MHI

The Manufactured Housing Institute (through its education arm, the Manufactured Housing Educational Institute) is offering several courses that have been approved by the Nevada Manufactured Housing Division to meet continuing education requirements for various license holders in Nevada. These courses do not require you to travel to attend a course in a classroom environment, but are delivered in a distance learning format. Below are details for each course:

License – Dealer, Sales and RMEs

Nevada Selling Skills 8 Hour Continuing Education for Dealer, Sales & RMEs (Get the Form Here)

This course was created by Joe Adams of the Housing Marketplace, Inc. Joe has taught continuing education courses in Nevada in the past. Joe has taken a popular curriculum and developed a home study workbook course. The course combines successful sales techniques and “real world” strategies to help salespeople meet the demand of today’s manufactured home shoppers and make more sales. The student registers for the course on MHEI’s online training system at http://mhei.icceleration.com and then is mailed the home study workbook. After completing the workbook, the student goes back into the online training system to take a final exam. Once the exam is completed, a certificate is mailed to the student.

Nevada Manufactured Housing: An Industry Overview 4 Hour Continuing Education for Dealer, Sales & RMEs (Get the Form Here)

This course is an online course that can be taken on MHEI’s online training system. The training site is at http://mhei.icceleration.com. This online course provides a broad overview of the manufactured housing industry, including its history, regulation and business practices. It is designed with the retail sales person in mind to make him or her knowledgeable about the industry and therefore more confident when interacting with consumers. Employees from all segments of the industry will gain a tremendous advantage by learning more about the manufactured housing industry through this course. When the student has finished the online course, they take a final exam. Once the exam is completed a certificate is mailed to the student.

License – General Serviceman

Nevada Manufactured Home Installation 8 Hour Continuing Education for General Serviceman (Get the Form Here)

The industry’s well-known trainer in the area of manufactured home installation, George Porter of Manufactured Housing Resources, has created this online training program. With humor and detailed explanations of the installation process, this course will take the installer from the first to the last step of installing a manufactured home. When a student registers for the course, they are mailed a copy of the book,Manufactured Home Installation Guide, written by George Porter, and have immediate access to the online training course. The course contains quizzes and videos to enhance the online learning experience. Register on the online training site by going to http://mhei.icceleration.com. When the student has completed the online course, they take a final exam. Once the exam is completed a certificate is mailed to the student.


Continuing Education Courses Offered by WNCC:

Western Nevada College and NV Division of Manufactured Housing have teamed up to offer a some CE courses for Manufactured/Mobile Home General Serviceperson. Course descriptions and links to the WNC website/course pages below.

WNC needs to have a minimum of eight (8) students enrolled in a course before they can start a class.

Course #1. CONS 256B. Manufactured/Mobile Home General Serviceperson - Theory

Second of a two-course sequence that least to State of Nevada certification as professional Mobile/Manufactured Home General Serviceperson.
