WASHINGTON – Perhaps the system does work, because the Washington MH Association managed to defeat several adverse bills like one which mandated a three year notice of community closure and a bill which would have allowed a city to mandate sewer connection of communities on functioning septic systems and also defeat of a mandatory right of first refusal for tenants and housing authorities that would have chilled and clouded any attempts to sell a community. ARIZONA – In the regulatory arena, AHA has worked closely with the Office of Manufactured Housing to ensure that Arizona’s dispute resolution program would be approved by HUD and with ADOT to convert nearly all transportation permits to an online system. Work with the Department of Revenue on both transaction privilege and property tax reform is progressing. |
